THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT
Founder and dentist
Dr. Hansel Montilla founded GeDental Wellness. He earned his DDS and a master’s degree in geriatric dentistry at the University of Southern California and has nearly 20 years of experience, with advanced training in cosmetic, geriatric, biomimetic and integrative dentistry.
He is Kois-trained and a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
HOW IT BEGAN
GeDental Wellness takes a whole-person approach that looks at how oral health relates to overall wellness. Dr. Montilla books one patient at a time and bases each treatment plan on a Kois risk assessment of gum health, bite, decay risk and aesthetics.
The office uses saliva-based DNA testing of the oral microbiome, digital X-rays, intraoral scanning and in-house milling for same-day crowns, and offers biocompatibility testing for patients with sensitivities. A trained service dog is part of the practice’s support for anxious patients.
