THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT

Meet the owner

Gregory Kirschenbaum, LMT

Founder and licensed massage therapist

Gregory Kirschenbaum is a massage therapist licensed in Arizona and New York whose work focuses on medical massage and craniosacral therapy. He meets each patient himself and builds every session around what they tell him.

HOW IT BEGAN

The practice’s story

Empathy Health builds each session around the patient. A first visit opens with a conversation about where it hurts, how long it has been going on, what has already been tried and what the patient wants to get back to doing. Massage is done fully clothed, and patients can change the pressure or pause at any time.

Before leaving, patients learn a tai chi or qi gong movement to keep up at home, and the practice stays in touch by phone or text between visits. Both clinics see patients by appointment, and clinic days vary from week to week.
