Dallas W. Lipscomb, DMSc, PA-C

Owner and physician assistant

Dallas W. Lipscomb holds a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) and has more than 40 years in medicine, the last 28 as a family practice physician assistant, with experience in family medicine, nursing home and inpatient care, urgent care, occupational medicine and surgery.

He spent ten years as a surgical technologist assisting in general, plastic, neurologic and orthopedic surgery. Before moving to New Mexico, he was a provider and clinic director at two rural health clinics in southern Illinois.

HOW IT BEGAN

The practice’s story

Compassion Care Clinic serves Sierra County, New Mexico, and the surrounding area from its office on Highway 195 in Elephant Butte. It aims to offer compassionate care close to home and performs a range of procedures in the clinic that might otherwise mean a trip to an emergency room or a specialist.

The clinic sees patients of all ages, offers lab draws on site, and its provider is a certified medical examiner for commercial driver (CDL) and employment physicals.
