Chrissy Lemley, AuD

Owner and audiologist

Dr. Chrissy Lemley earned her Doctor of Audiology at West Virginia University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology and audiology and a certification in geriatric studies, and she is board certified by the American Board of Audiology.

She has practiced audiology since 2011 and joined Allegany Hearing & Balance in May 2014. Her work centers on comprehensive adult and pediatric evaluations, hearing systems and rehabilitation, and cochlear implants. She is president of the Maryland Academy of Audiology, a fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, and a former adjunct professor at WVU, where she still supervises students.

HOW IT BEGAN

The practice’s story

Allegany Hearing & Balance has served the LaVale, Cumberland and Oakland, Maryland, communities since 2003. It describes itself as locally owned, independent and community oriented, and says it typically gives 10% of its profits to local and regional charities.

Alongside hearing care, the practice offers neurodiagnostic balance testing and treatment, and its hearing aid fittings are checked with real-ear measurements and test box verification.
